Family trip

It has been 2 years since the last family trip.  The family has grown bigger with more young kids. We went to Yilan for 2-days-1-night and had lots of great food.  Jewel and I performed "Jiangnan Style" as the post-dinner entertainment.

I will stay in Taiwan until 1/5 during my 2-week Christmas break.

HK trip (12/21-12/23)

We met up with Auntie Amy, Uncle Ian from Changping and Great Auntie from Taiwan in HK for the weekend right before Christmas.  It was very festive!

I finally tried out 蘇荷美術 in their Shanghai studio.  Mom was impressed by their teaching philosophy and signed me up for the class.  I really liked the color knowledge they conveyed in class.  Now I know better about how different colors compose.

Gym class

I started a gymnastics class for 5-7-year-old 3 weeks ago.  I cried at the first two classes and started to love it last week.  I now really enjoy it.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Switching from turkey to yogurt for Thanksgiving feast can be healthy :)  Due to the heavy rain, we cancelled our Thanksgiving dinner at Le Meridian.  We went to 鼎泰豐 to have a nice dinner and then yogurt for treat.

雲門舞集2之上海公演

Mom and I went to this great modern dance performance by 雲門舞集2 during their China tour in Shanghai.  My first time watching the modern dance--very impressive.

During today's Assembly, Jolene's class (G1-Ruby) performed the mini farm concert. She played a big dog.

Chinese Pinyin Competition

Jolene was selected as one of the five representatives for her class to compete in the First Grade pinyin test. Her class won the first place among all four classes!  Although she did not answer any questions in the competition, we were very proud of her being the best five in her class!

I learned some techniques about golf at school.  Here was my first trial at the driving range.

Annie is my best friend at school.  I had a trial class at her arts school.  They talk about famous artists, their master pieces and we create our interpretation of their inspiration.

First day as the first grader at SSIS

The uniform is a bit oversized, but I am so ready for the new start!

Great seeing you again!

We had a 5-hour stop-over in Taiwan Taoyuan airport before heading back to Shanghai.  My grandparents came to see us in the airport and took us to Novotel for breakfast.
