Great seeing you again!

We had a 5-hour stop-over in Taiwan Taoyuan airport before heading back to Shanghai. My grandparents came to see us in the airport and took us to Novotel for breakfast.

Our trip back to Shanghai: Our flight leaving Chicago for San Francisco was delayed for 30 minutes due to last minute pilot being called back from his way to the hotel, and some kitchen sensor problem. During the flight, one passenger had a medical issue so we had an emergency landing in Salt Lake City. After the passenger deplaned, we were waiting while the plane was refilled. Then the pilot's flight time was up, and no other pilots available, so we had to stay overnight in Salt Lake City. United Airlines put us in the grand suite room in the grandest hotel in Salt Lake City (Grand America). Alas, when we checked in to the hotel room, it was almost 1 am, and we would miss our flight departing that night from San Francisco to Taipei-Shanghai, and Jolene would miss her orientation on Friday.

Good thing is we got to stay with Ella and her family for one day. It happened to be Uncle Yang's birthday celebration that night. Given all the anxiety due to all the flight incidents, missing the orientation, paying $300 for Eva airways upgrade, there was still something good!

University of Chicago

If not for visiting Mom's friend living in Hyde Park, we would probably have never toured University of Chicago thoroughly. The buildings are so historical, and the atmosphere is very academic. Very different from Northwestern University.

Ice skating

I have enjoyed ice skating very much this summer! I was barely able to walk on ice, but I have managed to skate including wiggly back. It was so fun that I wanted to continue it in Shanghai.

Camp Kinglet

Today was the last day of our 4-week kinglet camp. We talked about Alaska for 2 weeks, and Hawaii afterwards. It had been so much fun. Our counselor-Miss May was very nice to us. Aloha!

Summer fun

Auntie Ting and Megan & Jewel came to Evanston again this summer. We attend summer camps (Eco camp) from 9 am to 3 pm, and take ice skating lessons on Tuesday and Thursday afternoon. For the past weekends, we went to Kohls Children's Museum, parks, movies, malls, and had a great fun in Rain Forest restaurant in Woodfield Mall.
