Parents' collaborative painting

Mom said, "The parents were asked to paint the famous Van Gogh self portrait collaboratively.  Each of us was assigned one block and put together afterwards.  I was doing the eyes and nose part within 30 mins as we were terribly late that day.  It was not bad.  I felt my art soul might have been waken.  :)"

Special thanks to our camera man-Uncle Ian for his fantastic camera!

Family trip

It has been 2 years since the last family trip.  The family has grown bigger with more young kids. We went to Yilan for 2-days-1-night and had lots of great food.  Jewel and I performed "Jiangnan Style" as the post-dinner entertainment.

Artwork-Bird in the sky

I finally tried out 蘇荷美術 in their Shanghai studio.  Mom was impressed by their teaching philosophy and signed me up for the class.  I really liked the color knowledge they conveyed in class.  Now I know better about how different colors compose.

Gym class

I started a gymnastics class for 5-7-year-old 3 weeks ago.  I cried at the first two classes and started to love it last week.  I now really enjoy it.

Artwork-Name design

I used the symbols I learned last week to design my name.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Switching from turkey to yogurt for Thanksgiving feast can be healthy :)  Due to the heavy rain, we cancelled our Thanksgiving dinner at Le Meridian.  We went to 鼎泰豐 to have a nice dinner and then yogurt for treat.

雲門舞集2之上海公演

Mom and I went to this great modern dance performance by 雲門舞集2 during their China tour in Shanghai.  My first time watching the modern dance--very impressive.

Chinese Pinyin Competition

Jolene was selected as one of the five representatives for her class to compete in the First Grade pinyin test. Her class won the first place among all four classes!  Although she did not answer any questions in the competition, we were very proud of her being the best five in her class!

Golf

I learned some techniques about golf at school.  Here was my first trial at the driving range.

Artwork-Door Curtain

This is a 3-class project (90 mins each class).  Looks simple but lots of details involved.  The teacher did the assembly not I.

Halloween

My halloween costume of the year--floral fairy.  The picture was taken at 7 am before I left for school.  I was still waking up...

Look at my smiling face after school with the wing.

Art class with Annie

Annie is my best friend at school.  I had a trial class at her arts school.  They talk about famous artists, their master pieces and we create our interpretation of their inspiration.
