Family gathering

Although we go to Taiwan about 5 times a year, it's sometimes hard to meet the relatives.  Glad we made it this time at the restaurant that Auntie Vicky's brother worked.

Christmas break fun with Mibao

The best park of my holidays in Taiwan was to spend time with Mibao.  Mibao also spent one afternoon with Lyle on 12/26. 

Mom's high school reunion

After many years, Mom had a small high school reunion in 貓空, and took the cable car back to the zoo.  They are friends for 23 years.

A short time with Megan and Edith

Edith went to Taiwan to meet with Megan during her trip.  Mom just got the message that they were nearby.  Before we headed for dinner, we ran to see them.  Although it was short, it's nice we made it.

Christmas break in Taiwan

Here I came again, Taiwan!  I would spend 10 days in Taiwan during the holidays.  Looking forward to all the fun stuff.  寶貝阿姨 took me to the holiday ginger cookie baking class.  Here were what I made.  I had a great time!

Ski trip in Clubmed Baidahu

We went to 北大壺 Clubmed with Corena's family on 12/17-12/21.  This was my first ski trip ever.

I had 3 days ski lessons, and got promoted to one level higher each day.  I loved skiing!

This was our first time in Clubmed.  It was fun too.  The G.O's were very enthusiastic and we loved the food and shows every evening!

Holiday wreath

Mom attended a workshop in making a holiday wreath with some friends.  It was not so easy as it seems, but it was certainly lots of fun and festive!

SSIS Santa Workshop

Mom was volunteering again this year for the Santa Workshop.  The workshop generated 22000 rmb for charity in 2 days!

Parent Teacher Conference

Mom went to school to have a PTC with Mr. Rampton.  Here is the classroom decoration I was assigned to be in charge with three other classmates.  It's Christmas in winter and summer.  My Chinese book report was in display in front of the Chinese classroom.

Hand stand in the water

I have been practicing roll over in the water, but I haven't managed to do it.  I am therefore trying handstand, and here you go!

Mom said I had improved a lot in Chinese writing.  I am proud of myself too! ;)

Annie's birthday

Today is Annie's 10th birthday.  I had my first sleepover at her place yesterday.  We didn't go to bed until 1 am but woke up around 6:30 am the next day.  We were sleepy but it was a fun experience.

Badminton

Have had 8 classes in badminton.  Getting better but still a long way to go...

Bye bye, Mibao!

Mibao's 5 days trip in Shanghai came to the end.  We will see you again in December!

Mibao in Hangzhou

Mom took Baobai Auntie and Mibao to Hangzhou for the day trip.  It's rainy there, but because of that, it's not crowded at all.  They took the around-the-lake tourist bus to see the most part of West Lake.  The West Lake is tranquil in the rain.

The Sunday with Mibao in town

Mom took them to cruise around the neighborhood while I was in the cheerleading training.  After the training, I wish I could join Mibao in the playroom but I couldn't as I had to study for the upcoming unit tests in the following week.

We went to the newly opened restaurant, 乾杯 to have BBQ for dinner. Yum-yum!

Shanghai Symphony Orchestra

It's really a busy Saturday!  In the evening, we went to the Beethoven series concert by Shanghai Symphony Orchestra.

International Family Bazaar

What a coincidence that Mibao visited us in the weekend of IFB.  I had violin performance and cheerleading dance.  We also had different food and games at the bazaar.  It was an unusual shinny day and we had a great time!

As Mibao arrived very late last night, she saw me for the first time after I came home from school.  I was so happy to see her.  They accompanied me to SOHO Art in the evening as we would have an IFB tomorrow.

Shanghai, here comes Mibao!

As Mibao is approaching 2 years old, mom was half joking that Baobai Auntie should bring Mibao to Shanghai before her 2-year-old birthday to maximize the "benefit" of no tickets needed before 2 years old.  Surprisingly, Baobai Auntie purchased the tickets right away and flew over here the next day!!  We were all amazed by how efficient she was this time! Haha!  However, their trip here was not easy at all.  It was heavily delayed due to the weather of 成都 where the first leg of the flight departed, then got delayed again due to the air traffic control in 北京 (the second leg), then 上海 (the third leg).  Their flight departed at 10:59 pm instead of the designated time 3 pm, and it barely made it for the curfew of the Songzhan airport at 11 pm.  When mom picked them up in Hongciao airport, it was 1:20 am already! What a long day!  But hey, it's ok! The fun part is waiting for them.  Watch out, Shanghai, my best sister has come!  

Cheerleading

I recently joined a cheerleading team with Anna, Edith, and Corena. It's held by Anna's mom. It was quite fun!
