Skydeck Chicago
Had been living in Chicago for 5 years before moving to China, this turned out to be my mom's first time to reach the top of Sears Tower (now called Willis Tower). We stood on the glass panel on the 103 floor high. There's much less crowd compared to NYC's Empire State Building Observatory, but the height was breath-taking.

Swimming lesson
Jewel and I are having eight swimming lessons starting today. 30 minutes on Tuesday and Thursday afternoon. We had the first lesson today, and I LOVED it very much! I feel very comfortable in the water (no wonder I like Ariel).

Welcome to Evanston
Auntie Ting, Megan and Jewel will be here with us for 5 weeks this summer. What can be more welcoming than the summer Farmer's market in Evanston?

Back to Chicago/Evanston
We were finally home! We arrived right in time for July 4 concert and firework show. Dad could only stay 4 nights with us in Evanston before heading back to work. We went to Chicago Botanic Garden and enjoyed our favorite restaurants. There was not much change in Chicago and in Evanston. After Dad's return to work, I will start summer camps and swimming lessons--fun fun fun!

New York City
Our second stop was New York City. The weather was warm and we had some problems with our air conditioner in our hotel room. Other than that, we enjoyed a good Broadway Show Mary Poppins and American Museum of Natural History, strolling on the 5th avenue as well as Central Park. We also stopped at the Bangkok Bank New York Branch which was near the Wall Street.
