Despite the heat wave last week, it has been cool.  In the last weekend we are here this summer, we paid a visit to Chicago Navy Pier.  It was so much fun, but I did enjoy it better with Jewel and Megan here last time.

Rainforest restaurant

For some reason, I really wanted to go to Rainforest.  Mom drove one hour to take me there.  The food was not good, nor the service.  Mom said she wouldn't want to drive all the way for this any more.

Gymnastic camp

I am attending a 2-week gymnastic camp from Monday-Friday 4:30-6:30 pm.  It does not have as many equipment as I had in Shanghai, and it focus more on muscle development.  I have enjoyed it very much!

Dance camp

I am starting a 2-week dance camp at DCE (Dance Center Evanston).  So look forward to it!

We went to Field Museum 3 years in a row, and I finally started to be able to study the notes by myself.  I got great interest in dinosaurs, and drawn in by the animal molds, and mummies.

Lincoln Park Zoo

It has been a hot week in Chicago.  We went to Lincoln Park Zoo and visited lots of animals.  Polar bear, Polar bear, what do you see?

Arts Camp

I had a two-week arts camp.  This is my consoler, Marjorie and me in Orrington school. 

Big van

To accommodate 3 adults and 3 kids, Mom swapped a sedan rental car to a 7-seat van.  It was enormous and the fun part was there was a DVD entertaining system in the van.  We only got to watch for a couple minutes though.

Visitors from Maryland

4-year-old Natalie and 6 year-old Nathan came to visit us from Maryland with their parents on 7/17-7/22.  Their parents are Mom's friends for more than 10 years.  Fun has begun!

Chicago Botanic Garden

It's like the trip is not completed without paying a visit to Chicago Botanic Garden.  It has become our ritual every summer.

Arts camp

I have 2-week arts camp in Orrington School.  The first week is about India, and the second week is about Japan.  Aside from the art, drama, music, dance, media and a counselor time, playground is the best part.

We finally met Lyle-Ella's baby brother.  He is so adorable!  I had a great time dancing, playing the piano and playing bubbles and frisbee with Ella in the sunny California.
