New family addition--Mibao Tsai!
Uncle Ian and Auntie Weichi had their first born after Auntie Weichi was in labor for 12 hours. We are very happy for the new family member and I will be your best older sister, Mibao!

大董烤鴨
Quite pricy and the order of dishes was arbitrary. Dessert came before the duck and the veggie came the last. Food itself was nice and beautifully displayed. The dining price has gone up tremendously in Shanghai--the newly opened ones come with high price, and the old ones find many ways to add surcharges (for example, charge ¥10 for one disposable towel, and they didn't tell you that until you saw the bill...)
Raw Diamond
This is an art exhibition by Shanghai Singapore International School students held near Xintiandi. One of the artists (Clara) rides the same school bus as Jolene.
We took a photo with the artist (Kloe) who painted the musician on the back. The lady was the artist's 70-year-old piano teacher who just started to learn the cello. The artist expressed that the beauty shall not be based on the attraction of the appearance but the depth of the heart. Mom said those words really touched her.
花旗小小銀行家
We learned about the prices, currencies of different countries, and what a bank can do to help us in one's daily life. I am not sure if I want to become a banker, but I am sure money can be very useful when you need it.

Introduction to van Gogh
We talked about the story of van Gogh and his artwork in the first class of van Gogh series. Each of us posted a note after the class. On mine, it says "I really like your art!" It made my mom wonder if we would feel the same way if we were in the same era as van Gogh...
