Space needle
We stayed one more night in Seattle before heading back to Evanston. We went to downtown and took Monorail to Space Needle.
Seattle's Pike Place Market
Pike Place is a cool market full of fresh produces. And it's the last stop of this one week family trip.

Junior ranger
"Explore, Learn, and Protect!" The Junior Ranger motto is recited by children around the country; each taking an oath of their own to protect parks, continue to learn about parks, and share their own ranger story with friends and family.

Sol Doc Trail
Finally Dad and Mom got a chance to walk on a trail. That's Dad's favorite thing to do before I was born. Mom said she didn't know she had become so rusty over these years. One national park a year would be her new year resolution.

Olympic National Park-Lake Quinault
This was our first night in the Olympic National Park. Lake Quinault Lodge was mom's favorite hotel during this trip. The rooms were at the lake--quiet and peaceful.

Blueberry picking
Blueberries is one of my favorite fruits. That was my first time seeing them on the tree. It requests hand picking--no wonder it is costly.
Bonneville Dam and salmon sanctuary
We learned how a dam works as well as the salmon sanctuary. What's the most fun is I continued to collect the junior ranger badges.
Columbia Gorge
Columbia rivers runs like a belt of Oregon and Washington. Waterfalls and forests are the natural calls of our coming back.

Portland
Dad lived in Portland for 3.5 years between Fall, 2000 to Spring, 2004. We visited downtown Portland, his office and his residence in Beaverton. We also went to a popular sushi place to line up for 45 mins to get a table. How did the food taste like? Well, I guess memory served as the best ingredient.

Year-end class party
It's been an interesting year. Some up and downs, but I am glad that everything has gone smoothly at the end. Goodbye, Grade 3. I am heading to the second half of the primary school.
Thank you, Mr. Zhou for granting me this award-Commitment to Excellence in PE. That was something that my mom never thought of about herself when she was in my age. ;) I will keep working on it and do my best next year.

Ning's farewell party
Ning is one of my true best friends at SSIS. She is moving to Hong Kong. I feel sad again after Megan moving back to Taiwan. Wish you best of luck in your new school and new place!

Mom's day trip to Macau
Mibao went abroad for the first time this weekend. Mom met them there in Macau for an afternoon en route to her one-week business trip in Changping. I wish I could be there holding Mibao...
